Media/Siphon Based

Media Beds – Ideal for growing fruiting plants (such as tomatoes and peppers) as well as plants that prefer a drier environment (such as thyme and rosemary). Usual media is Hydrotons / Volcanic Lave Rock / Expanded Shale / ¾” gravel or a combination is used to grow different varieties of plants. The media beds also provides additional filtration surface thus enhancing the nutrient buildup.

RAFT BEDS can be easily added to the MEDIA BEDS without addition on filtration unit.
